 When the Jewish department store Alsberg in Bielefeld was taken over, the Gestapo gave us a list of names of members of our people who continued purchasing in the Jewish department store after 1 January 1935. Unfortunately, this list includes a number of party members who have important positions in a variety of state agencies. Those who come from the district of Lippe are: Lux, Johann, dr. Schoetmar, Schuelerstr. 16.

 August 1938 I request that the District chiefs investigate these cases and take further measures, should this be necessary.

 18 march 1939 to Party member Dr. Joh. Lux. Schoetmar/Lippe Schuelerstrasse 16. When the Jewish department store of Alsberg in Bielefeld was taken over, it was unfortunately discovered that you also belonged to the clientele of this Jew firm and that your latest purchase there was made in April 1937. Please let us know immediately the extent of your business connections with this firm, and what else you have to declare in this matter.

 To the Head of the Personnel Office For the District of Lippe Of the NSDAP In response to your letter addressed to my husband of 18 March 1939, I would like to declare the following. My husband had no business ties with the department store of Alsberg in Bielefeld. He hardly knows the place, and has never set foot in there. Because of his work…he has no time to deal with shopping, and therefore left it entirely to my responsibility. I have shopped in this Alsberg, not in order to fill the Jew's pockets, but because I believed that the shop had been…Aryanized….
